... I particularly enjoy my updates being timed in shoots of RUM!

Ahhh if only I had the time

As 'tis every the way, I started this blog with grrreat intentions of redefining piracy. Alas the mundane world will oft interfere with the joys of the cyber-seas.

'Tis now I shall make a most solemn vow; I shall try harder me hearties; despite the fact I am this blogs sole reader and participant.
... When I find a bit more time in the day...

Piracy = Repurposing

Tis' in the finest traditions of piracy to repurpose what ever is at hand. A belaying pin becomes a black jack. A marlin spike becomes a dagger. A wench becomes and eloquent endorsment of monogamy.

As a pirate in these post-industrial, post-rational times I am delighted to find exquisit examples of such re purposing floating along with the detrius of the AEther net.

The fine People at Castor Designs have produced one of the finest examples of repurposing I've seen in some time.



(Just in Case you missed it, they have recycled dead fluorescent bulbs to act as shade for incandescent lights....plus the whimsical red cord )

Alas Mr Mateys...Alas

On always has such great hopes for a blog or any other endeavour which puts you forward into the world... Ye thinks that ye may ha' words o' great wisdom to share with the unwashed masses...(thought it may have been months since you yourself have washed) But ye finds that ya 'av little to say....and even fewer people to read it.... So until some time when I actually have something interesting for all ye landlubbers.....Fare thee well....

You know It's a bit of an exaggeration but somedays I feel that way... These days it seems like I am waiting for something to happen...so great inspiration to take me...to find something new and/or original...

In the mean time I have been Salvaging..trying to find bits and pieces, for other projects...alas few are in nautical vein, more in an joyous steampunk ideology.

In Many ways this blog is a means for me to articlulate and understand teh ideas percolating in my head...but so far I just seem to accumulating more ideas instead of resolving them.

Finally a name, culture and aesthetics that appeals to my board ranging tastes and endevours. For the curious check out the BrassGoggles blog and forum. An excellent place to begin your adventures.

If by some strange chance you are a member of said forum and are wondering who the heck I am ...well.... I feel I need a project of substance with which to introduce myself. So thanks to the inspiration of such artisans as Datamancer and Von Slett I have begun Steampunking and Sky-Pirating my old laptop. (sketchs and images forthcoming) hopefully within the month.

I also find myself in want of a name....I have been know variously in the as , Tedwyn, Mount-Ted, Edwin LeBrun and Clay Beard but I am uncertain if any of the afore mention monikers is a suitable name for a sky pirate! For the Brave soul who has ventured this far I ask for you input....

Until later may you have the winds be at your back and lightning in your eyes.

Random thought: how would you go about making a steam powered motor using a hydrogen fueled boiler..... Burner, boiler, electrolosis to generate hydrogen for water.....CLEAN STEAM POWER MUHAHAHAHA!
